2026 SEASON

Our Mainstage program offers students the opportunity to participate in fully staged theatrical productions modeled after professional rehearsal processes. The Rhode to Broadway Mainstage Season is presented in partnership with the South Kingstown Recreation Department, bringing high-quality theatrical programming to the local community.

All Mainstage productions take place at the South Kingstown High School Auditorium, providing students the opportunity to perform in a true theater setting with a full stage, professional lighting, sound, and backstage facilities. This ensures an authentic theatrical experience not only for the audience, but for the performers as well.

Students receive ongoing instruction in acting, vocal performance, movement, and ensemble work throughout the rehearsal process. Directors and teaching artists focus on character development, storytelling, and performance technique while maintaining high artistic standards in a supportive and structured environment.

This program is ideal for students who want to grow as performers while working toward a full-scale theatrical production.

Mainstage productions emphasize professionalism, accountability, and collaboration. Students learn rehearsal etiquette, time management, focus, and respect for the creative process—skills that translate far beyond the stage.

Participants are expected to arrive prepared, support their fellow cast members, and fully commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule.

Our out-of-this-world set design team creates large, professional-quality scenic pieces that elevate each production and immerse performers and audiences alike. These dynamic sets contribute to a more exciting, visually stunning show while giving students real-world experience navigating and performing within a professional theatrical environment.

All productions feature professional costumes provided by Emerald City Theatrical, ensuring show-specific designs that match industry standards.

We also provide professional photography of rehearsals and performances, capturing each student’s growth and achievements throughout the production process. Beginning with our next production, we are excited to offer optional professional headshot sessions, giving performers access to high-quality images suitable for auditions, programs, and future opportunities.
