Welcome to Acting for Film!
In this Master Class we’ll delve into what actors can expect on a film set, the different ways you can shoot a scene, and how to bring your most authentic self to the big screen!
Actors can choose one of the provided scenes to work on beforehand, or choose a scene in-workshop; no homework required!
Get to know McKenna:
McKenna's film work includes a lead in Everwinter Night and a supporting role opposite Roger Clark in Round the Decay (both Dreamscape Productions), plus leads in Barbizon Days (Secret Beach Productions), The Moth (Collapsing Star Productions), and the award-winning fantasy film Lamia, inspired by Basque Mythology. An alumna of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts' 3-year conservatory, she trained at Upright Citizens Brigade, NYC Stage Combat, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and workshops with Frank Langella and Kathleen McNenny. On stage, she originated Rose of Sharon in Douglas Carter Beane’s To Wong Foo the Musical workshop, reprised Orlando in Strong Fxmale Lead’s As You Like It, and played Ismene in Antigone at Bank Street Theatre. She also performs with Cirque du Nuit, Doors of Divergence, and Undersigned, currently at Edinburgh Fringe with Underbelly.
